The ICF defines coaching as a creative partnership between a coach and a coachee that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential. In this sense we can say that the generic outcomes of a coaching process are: self-awareness, transformation, change and/or action. In this partnership, the client is the expert of his own life and the responsible for achieving the results. The coaching partner honours, stimulates, accepts and believes that the client has all the resources: values, interests, knowledge, means, motivation and will to achieve what he/she considers really important. In this partnership, the coach's role is not to be a wise and knowledgeable Zen Master, not to be an affirmative master who knows and gives the most pertinent answers, but someone with specialised skills to listen, give feedback and create conditions for the client to achieve their purpose.
The Coaching I provide may be therapeutic, but it is not therapy. Coaching is distinct from traditional therapy because it is not aimed at solving psychological problems. While emotional problems may arise, the main focus of Coaching is to help you identify your goals, achieve them and develop constructive habits and skills. With Coaching there is little emphasis on the past, and your focus is on creating goals for now and for the future.
A Coach is someone who through questioning enables you to identify and discover what is holding you back from reaching your full potential. It is an inter personal relationship that provides a supportive and non-judgmental space to help you create what you want for yourself. A Coach creates conditions for you to develop strategies and acquire the tools you need to achieve your goals, to break negative habits, to acquire new methods of identification and to act to apply your potential!
Coaches work with people from all walks of life to help you achieve your goals. A Coach works with people in all areas of their life, including relationships, career, finances, health and more. Working with a Personal Coach does not limit you to every type of person, but is best for those who want to take initiative in their own life. People who accept a Coach are committed to a more successful life and are willing to do the work necessary to get there.
Results vary depending on what brings you to a Coach. If you want a Coach to help you professionally, it can help you make your current job more rewarding, get a better focus on managing your work and make it more effective. If your motives are personal, you can find a Coach to help you improve your relationships, resolve ongoing negative behaviours, improve your overall health and grow spirituality. With Coaching, you can live a more balanced and improved life and achieve your dreams!
Each session is tailored to the client and will vary according to individual needs. At the beginning, we will discuss what goals you are committed to achieving through our work together and we will begin to create a plan to achieve your goals. Periodically, I will give you assignments to help direct your progress. We will work together to recognise obstacles, explore perspectives, alternatives and celebrate successes. At the conclusion of each session, we will review your goals and assess the next steps needed to achieve those results.
Coaching can take you beyond your personal limitations. Most of the time, people try to reach their highest potential, but don't even realise the obstacles. A coach can offer an impartial and objective perspective and can help you to recognise your patterns and habits. Most people find that they are more effective when they work with a coach and that this offers the opportunity to make the most of their potential. Coaching can make your dreams possible by giving you support and encouragement along the way.
To experience the effectiveness of a Coaching programme, I suggest you make an initial three-month commitment. At the end of the three months, we will evaluate progress and discuss options for ongoing Coaching.
What we discuss will be confidential and will not be shared with others. However, our sessions are not protected by the duty of confidentiality for legal purposes. The privilege of confidentiality that exists for clergy, doctors and lawyers is not granted to Coaches. Despite this, Coaching is a confidential process and your personal information will always be protected.
To cancel an appointment you must do so with 24 hours notice. Make sure to contact me if you are unable to attend your appointment, to avoid being charged for the session.
